Artist Statement
Dreaming has always been a constant in my life and as I’ve gotten older, a way for me to evaluate my mental and more importantly, spiritual health. For Imagine Your Dreams, I wanted to delve more into the science of sleep to better understand how my sleep pattern can effect my dreams. With repeated imagery and motifs, these collages represent the progression of a night of my dreaming, as well as evoking the sensations of being in-between sleep and wakefulness, vibrant, visceral dreams and the ones that are quickly forgotten, to the nightmare that stays with you through the day.
