Artist Statement
“Night moves” is the title for the four collages that include “Unlonely Loneliness”, “Night gifts”, “Night Circus” as well as “Treasure Hunt”.
Dreaming is
a process where the conscious mind meets unconsciousness and where fear, love,
hopes and memories rejoin and are relived. After awakening the question will
always be: So where do we go from here and what have our night moves taught us?
With a
little smile in the corner of my eye, I have tried to characterize various
dream scenarios by incorporating a variety of paper, packaging material,
receipts, yarn or ribbons.
Bio
Susanne is new to the world of mixed media arts and collages and in the process of exploring possibilities and realizing ideas. She draws inspirations from working with various materials including mainly paper and fabric and is interested in calligraphy and lettering, print techniques, typography as well as textile arts. Susanne holds a Master in Communications as well as in French and English, Literature and Linguistics. She lives and works in Germany.
